Two tone paint thread

I’ve seen several different two tone paint schemes when including pickups. Could we share different ones? My 68 had the roof A and D pillars painted white. I’ve seen some with only the roof white. The pickup in the picture has a different style on the body. How many versions were there?

Are you talking about factory combinations only?

Re: Two tone paint thread

Yes factory two tone. Not sure if they did three different roof paint styles. Some have the roof only white, other the roof and A and D pillars and some with the roof and all window pillars.

I think that along with the one you posted with the white pillars these are the other two, but I could be wrong.
Mines is the green one that I added the white front bumper and the pillars are the body color from the factory.

Thanks!

Can't tell from the picture of your green burb but does the white top extend down onto the D pillar?

Is it a different code or is it something for different years when the two-tone paint scheme changes? On my 68 the roof and the A and D pillars are white but on your truck (which looks amazing) only the roof and D pillar fare white.

My '69 wasn't a two tone but I painted it that way anyway.

I really like your Burb, it looks great and nice choice on the white roof.
Btw that flatbed you own is very nice also.

Thanks for the compliment.
I have no idea about the code difference, I always thought that most of the barn door Burbs had the body color on the rear pillars.

Thanks. I sold the Burb a couple of years ago, but I wish I had it back.

Here is our Suburban. 598 White/Med Green/White paint code on the SPID.

White roof that goes down D pillars, green window and door frames, with white lower stripe at the bottom of the body.

Thanks for posting the pic of the rear of the truck. I'm doing barn doors and wondered how it would look if the white extended down the D pillar and across the doors.

Kinda like the look!

I am looking for a company that makes an Upper Side Molding Set for the 70 suburban. I have never seen one with it from the factory and wanted to to reverse the factory two tone white/blue paint scheme. Using the Upper Side Molding Set to separate the color transition. Color would be (from the bottom) blue/white/blue/white roof.

My question is this; Is a 1970 chevy long bed the same length as a chevy suburban? If is then may be able to make the upper side molding work on the burb. Of course some modification would be needed on the passenger side with the two doors...

Anyone know?
