An excellent morning for a run. My running is improving. The cooler mornings are nice. 57* no wind.
I’ve run my fastest 5k so far this year. I’d like to get it under 24 minutes by the end of the year. Under 23 would be better.

Perfect morning for an easy shake out run.
66* nice little breeze.
Summer months are typically the hard months to stay consistent.
I can’t complain about our August mornings of late.

A smig over 7 miles.
I was focused on getting my 5k time down because of a race in September. It’s been cancelled so now I’m working on getting a decent time in the 1/2 marathon I’m doing in October.
I’ve started bicycling and it’s working different muscle. At the beginning of the run I could feel my right hamstring.
Feels good...:a successful shake out.

Re: Perfect night for a run

I got a 35 minute tempo run in today.
Averaging 8.30 minute mile pace. I don’t think I can keep that pace for 13.1 today, but I’ve got about 7 weeks to improve on that before I do the half marathon. Shooting for under 2 hours.
I feel blessed that I’ve maintained a consistent routine this year.

Nice morning for a run. 63* and no breeze on the trail.
I’ve logged 33.1 miles this week.
Been running 6 days a week.
Earlier this week it’s been in the 50s. Great temps for gettin’ after it.

Any smoke in your area ? I mean down at your level to what you are breathng as you run? The smoke from out west has been flying high over us and does not seem to be bad air to breathe. so Far that is

I haven’t noticed any smoke as far as breathing, but there is a lot of haze in the troposphere and maybe the stratosphere. It’s been a long time since I’ve thought about that stuff.

It’s weird, if I didn’t know about the fires I’d be wondering if it had something to do with the Grand Solar Minimum... or something on a grander scale.....

I took this picture about 10 minutes ago.

Edit: after thinking about it, must be in the tropopause/ jet stream.

Beautiful morning for a 5 mile run in West Virginia.
Mountain Trail Rd has some brutal hills for a Kansas boy.
