The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Well I figured I would start a build thread on this old jewel I picked up. I will give a little background of myself. I have been working on cars about 30 years. Started young as a hobby and then for a living. It’s a hobby again now. The last two projects 69 ls Camaro and 62 5.3 nova wagon. I tried to buy this suburban about 3 years ago. Finally picked it up last week. Overall the body is in pretty good shape rear clamshell doors and had two rows of seats. It’s missing motor and miscellaneous axle parts. I am wanting to install newer axles and upgrade to disc brakes and auto trans with a nice small block. I look forward to meeting new truck people and learning and maybe helping a few with advice..
