Very Nice work. I need to get back on my own 65 now that I finished my son's truck.

You mentioned using quality abrasives, do you mind letting us know what you prefer to use for cut off discs and sanding discs? Sometimes a little more $$'s for the good stuff works out in the end, but it hard to be HFT for cheep cut off wheels...

No problem. I also use 4 1/2 cut off blades from Harbor Freight. For the cost, especially with a sale coupon, you can't beat them. For 3" cut off blades and 3" scotchbrite rolocs I use Klingspor. They have a truck, similar to a tool truck in my area I buy these from but you can mail order them too. Just google their name. I also get all my sandpaper from them. For 36 and 80 grit 3" rolocs Norton Blaze discs. They are bright orange. Prepare yourself for a little sticker shock but I shop around and usually can get a box of 25 for $40 or so. I have had great results from them. I use Norton Medalion 3"x3/16" for grinding spot welds and weld seams. And lastly a little something I've learned and try to pass along to people whenever I get questions like this. Don't run your air tools wide open when grinding. I figured out using them at slower speeds not only saved on abrasives but allowed me more control and finesse when grinding. I used to tell my helpers, use the trigger like it's a gas pedal in a car. You don't have to hold it wide open to get where you're going.

Time for an update.

I have a friend who is a retired machinist from GE. I get him to make me some cool custom parts such as these shock bungs:
