Then I removed the new pedal, and used a torch to heat it up, and bend it until it was in the right location of the old pedal.

You should tack a couple guessets in the bends of the brake petal, after heating, bending and cooling youve compromised the strength a little, and since brakes are kinda important, it would probably be worth the 10 minutes to tack in a little extra support. Are you gonna have to do the same with the gas petal?

Working on the front wheel wells now. I'll post some pics later today hopefully.

Good luck on the inner fenders. Those were the biggest pain of my build so far. Trying to make room for 2 batteries, fuse block, surge tank and air box. What I would have given for an English wheel

The frame on the 2003 is a lot wider than the 1972 frame. I had to cut out the inner part of the inner fender, and make a piece to fit the 2003 frame.

I needed a spot to put all the computers on the inner fender. I cut off the top and welded in a flat spot to mount them to. This idea is still in the works.

I have about a 1/4" clearance for the turbo piping. I think I might need a little more, not sure.

Here's what it looks like on the passenger side so far. I got the inner fender to follow the frame pretty good. Still needs some smoothing out, but it works. Sorry for the blurry pic.

I never would have thought making inner fenders would take this long, and they still need work. After I get that and the computers mounted, I think I am ready to give the cab to the painter to shoot the firewall, and interior. That was our plan. I would weld everything up, and mount everything. Then I would take it apart and give the painter the cab. After he shoots the firewall, and interior, I would get it running, and he would finish painting it.

Sounds like a good plan. Those inner fenders look nice. I had a lot of time in putting mine in and pulling them out trimming for all the piping. Later I plan to redo them do there is more area covering the engine. Keep up the great work!

Wow!!! Watching this. I have a 87 gmc v1500 single cab longbed 4x4 I am doing an ls swap in and i bought a donor 01 ext cab short bed 4x4 silverado.. I am wanting to do frame swap but am a little intimidated by it..

Love to hear how using all the wiring works, I definitely plan to do that!

All I did was remove the factory weld where the front and rear frames join and sepperated it.

I will starting a similar project, but with a 2500HD extended cab long bed. I plan to make mine a 68 GMC and an 8 stake bed. Did you just cut off 16.5 inches from the front and slide it back together? Or was yours not a long bed chassis?

I removed it from the rear part of the frame.

Ok. I assume this truck has torsion bars? Did you just relocate the crossmember?

I just drilled new holes for the cross member. My wife is doing great. Thanks for asking. Just hit the 2 year mark that she has been in remission. I am working on the interior now. Trying to decide if I want to use the 1972 light switch, or all the 2003 switches.

Use the 2003 switches so I can copy your hard work. I'm thinking of using the 2004 stuff I have. I started cutting up my 71 instrument cluster to fit 2004 in to it. having issues with the steering column.

Look at Lazzardkng's build. He did a good job using the newer switches.

I have the opportunity to pick up an LBZ truck to swap into my C20. These might be similar builds... except mine is going to be bagged.
