Just wanted to be one of the first in this new forum. Glad to see that they finally gave special attention to the K5'ers!

As usual it looks better in the photo than in real life. Needs paint. I've since removed the carpet and added a roof rack and removed the spare tire carrier.

NuBomb 08-28-2003 11:22 PM

Sharp Blazers Kiley Are you planning on getting rid of that spare tire carrier? Can't hurt to ask.

Here's my '69. It looks like it is the same color as kiley's rig. I like your ralley wheels.

DANL 08-29-2003 07:51 PM

Hey 72beast, nice top.
I want one. Who made it and where are the side panels?
Thanks in advance.

72beast's top looks like a http://www.specialtytopco.com/ fasttrac with the sides zipped out...

Where can I get one of those bumpers with the swing away tire carrier?

Kiley,
Can you post a close up pic of your
rear wheel ? What rally wheels do
you have? Were Rally Wheels an
option in 72'?
I think my 72' Highlander
has the same ones but i have a Chevy
Bowtie on one sibe and a 4x4 on the
other.

1969 GMC 09-04-2003 09:45 PM

HatGuy, I do not think ralley wheels were available for any trucks or Blazers 67-72. I know that 4x4 cap you have is from a newer truck.

1970cstblazer 09-04-2003 09:52 PM

That style rally wheel is from 1974-1991.

HatGuy 09-04-2003 11:15 PM

Thanks for the Info.

Rally Wheels and tire carrier

I removed my tire carrier after I backed into a Honda Accord. It bent the tire carrier and my tailgate. Put a nice hickey on the Honda. Don't remember if I still have it. I'll check in the attic and get back.

Here's a pic of the right rear wheel. As far as I know they are stock and original.

Thanks Kiley,
It's just like mine except I have
the Bowtie on one side and the
4x4 on the other side. I need 2
new 4x4 stickers.
