s-10 Motor Swap

Will a manual 2001 or 2002 motor fit into an auto 2000 S-10? Both are 2 wheel drive.

As far as bolting in, yes they will, but you will either have to change or reprogam the computer to work correctly with the tranny changes.

You will also need all the clutch hardware (pedal & hydraulics) to put on the 200o

I dont want to make the 2000 a manual if i dont have to, I just want to swap the motors and keep the auto trans. Does that still work?

Oh I miss read your post then. As long as both motors are the same size then yes they will swap out.
