Thanks. Here's how it looks now. Sold the wheels and tires. Anyone need a 12" lift kit?

I would like the lift if you want to part with it
I would take the whole truck if I could.

Oh yeah, I'd love to sell the lift. Here's a link to it. I've got $1400 in it before shipping if I remember correctly.

Well, I'm pretty sure the lift kit is sold so tomorrow I'm going to get the truck moved to the shop and remove the lift kit. I have already found some used 56" rear springs and I think I will buy 4 leaf HD front springs to get this truck back down to where the wife can safely get kiddos in and out. Once I get the new springs I'm also going to finally put my D60 under it!

The lift is sold and will be getting removed in the morning. Then off it goes to KC Saturday morning. I picked up some nice 56" rear springs, so now I need to find the rear shackle hanger since I did a flip on this truck. I ordered a pair of 3 leaf 1400lb springs for the front, and am going to pick up some D60 plate mounts on friday hopefully. Then I need to order new shocks, and new blocks, and u-bolts and this thing should be back near the ground. I'm also working a deal on a SWB from USSKoval. Also on Friday, i'm picking up my parts suburban that has my near new 91 front clip. It's starting to come together.

The lift is removed and the truck is a teetering. The wind picked up here and I had to use what was available to take the truck apart. It'll be fine, I'm just nervous.

Here's how the poor truck's sitting at the moment.

I should have a SWB coming out of Ohio here Monday for the truck. I also am going to try to get my parts suburban which has my front clip on it for this truck. I also need to get some u-bolts so I can get this thing as a roller again. We'll see how things go.

Well ryan your shortbox is here. Your truck on the other hand will need a new box as well. Pictures to follow.

4 engines ago,, I had a pretty hard running 396 in it. I had a Mallory Coil mounted on the A/C housing. You can see the bracket still there. Also, 2 engines ago, I removed the evap coil and filled the holes because I had a DT466 sitting in the frame and needed some room. :smoke:

Yes it is! And thanks for bringing it back for me. Here are some pics of the new box for the family hauler. It needs some work, but over all not real bad to start with.

I remember seeing this on craigslist drooling over it, but I didn't know it was yours. I guess I should've made the connection. It will be awesome I'm sure when its finished.

Horefully. Today my brother and I went and started removing the front clip from the donor suburban. It will also be donating a nice chrome front bumper with tow hooks, fog lights, and a spoiler. A steering box, steering column with mid 90's steering wheel, and all the power window stuff in the doors. I also found some leaf springs while I was there and a sway bar and upper mounts for my D60. Hopefully on sunday we can get over there to get the rest of the stuff off of it.

Re: Project: B.A.D. 1976 K30 CCLB

We did make it to the parts yard and got most of our parts off. Here's what I have for it now:

Mounting Pads and Sway Bar for my D60
91 Suburban front clip with nice chrome front bumper and spoiler
3 leaf front springs with u-bolts
Steering box
Trans cooler and partial lines
91 style tilt auto column
Over head console
Tach Cluster for 73-79

I think for now I'll keep my 76 dash pad and cluster in the truck. I have a really nice 73-80 dash pad. I can never find 81-87 pads that are worth a crap, so I'll use what I have. Also, thanks to Mathew for getting up bright and early Sunday morning and going and buying me a pair of NOS 90-91 power blazer/suburban only mirrors!

Im sure there's a reason behind it :) but I don't think Ive ever seen a powerstoke swapped into an dodge, on the other hand Ive seen tons of cummins swapped into fords. Any reason why you would choose a powerstroke over a cummins? Because their cheaper to build up? sorry

The biggest reason I'm guessing is because he has one already. Another is because it's different. And I'm also guessing it's an older IDI non powerstroke. They are easier by far to do a swap in than a PSD. They are a good engine and sound cool with a good exhaust system.

I will definitely agree that the old IDIs sound badass.
