Steering Box Ratio

I have a 64 C10 with stock power steering. It seems like it takes for ever turning the steering wheel to make a full turn. Can anyone tell me how many turns is standard on a power steering truck from center to lock?

Thank's
Paul

I did a little more investigating tonight and discovered that from center it takes 3.25 turns to hit the stop when turning left. It takes only 2.25 to hit the stops when turning right. Is there an adjustment somewhere that I can do.

Yes. You need to adjust the tie rod ends. The right needs to come in amd the left out. First center the pitman arm then adust the rod ends until the wheels are straight ahead. Then adjust the steering wheel.

Also truck gearboxes have tall ratios. CPP and some other companies sell quick ratio gearboxes. Thats what I use and it is much better.

Ok it gets more interesting :
Is there some redneck engineering going on here look at the photos.
It also looks like the fitting in the ram is cross threaded

Can someone please post what this assembly is supposed to look like?

Thank you.

Heres what the hoses should look like. Yours were repaired. At one time these hoses were tough to get. Now just go to Rock Auto on-line and purchase them.
