I was just wondering if I had to change anything like in the suspention sence it is old. Or anything there or around the wheels it self thanks.

I don't know for sure for 18" wheels but I just put 17" on my 71 and they work fine. 17" by 8" I've lowered mine 2" up front, and 3" in rear. I have no complants at all.
