Wheels do not fit without spacers
 

I want to preface this by saying this has absolutely nothing to do with the supplier, wheels or the brake company... they are only mentioned for informational purposes and fit on a specific application...

lets start with the information on the truck...

this application is specific to my 1967 C-10 with the original 1967 12 bolt rear axle...

I purchased the CPP rear drilled and slotted disc brake setup for my truck... everything bolted fine and worked great with the 15"x10" Torque Thrust that I got from TNT Motorsport and they were mounted with Diamondback Classics 295/50-15...

I wanted to go back to the Diamondback Classic Wide Whitewalls so I ordered a pair of rear wheels from

Well when we went to install the wheels on the rear we ran into several issues... first the wheels will not fit over the CPP calipers (which are nothing more than 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood calipers) and we encountered the tire hitting the inside of the wheelhouse...

The only fix for this and be able to run this combination is to get a set of hub centric 3/8" spacers and longer wheel studs... once I did that I have the proper clearance and it works fine...

I would say it is possible that if you are running drum brakes on the rear these wheels will clear and not rub on the wheelhouse... I would also say the if you are running the 71-72 rear axle you will have enough clearance for the wheelhouse but if you are wanting to run the CPP rear disc you will have to still run the spacer to clear the caliper...

Again this is not to bash any company or product it is merely informational and compatibility issues...

It's how the wheels are made. The wheel company' make them for the stock wheel that came on the trucks back then. They didn't have rear disc brakes so the tapper of the wheel isn't made for disc brakes. All wheel company's are like this.
This is why most guy's who swap out for the disc brakes go to bigger wheels are a different design.

These are advertised to fit disc... The 67 needs a 3.75 BS and these are 4.25 BS

The original wheels for the truck would have been 6 lug, so even if it's the original 12-bolt, I am assuming you've changed axles. Even if these 5 lug wheels were designed to be the exact same as stock, they would clear disks - all 5 lug truck wheels did (i.e. these would not have the funky pre-71 6 lug inner wheel taper that interferes with the caliper) . I believe it has to be a back-spacing issue only.

The back spacing moves the inner lip in are out so how does this make it not fit the with disc brakes? The diameter is the same weather disc are drum.
If the wheel is as stated made to fit disc brakes for this application.:chevy:

Advertised to fit front or rear disk? I assume front.

Arent 3 nib wheels known to NOT work on discs? Its the 4 nib you want. I had to grind the calipers down on my C10 with the 4-nibs though. Just a trim on the edges and all was good.

If you can determine where its hitting, a bit of work with a grinder may make them fit.
