The defroster lever on my 69's heater controls is broken so I need to replace the heater controls one way or another. I plan to redo my interior eventually with a black dash panel, so if they are functionally the same (same electrical connections, same cable mountings, etc.) I think I'll go with the 67-68 version as they are black and would look better given my future plans.

No problems that I know of. I swapped levers and a cable off a later model on to my 67 controls.

I found out that you can us the AC one and the blower switch is easier to replace Plus you get one more light bulb to light up the dash when you drive

I eventually plan to install Vintage Air and it is designed around the non-AC heater controls so no point in using the AC version. Even with Vintage Air installed the fan switch isn't used on the AC controls so I don't see the point of spending even more on a panel that ends up having controls I'll never actually use.
