47 on s10 frame wheel backspacing/offset question??

hello all this is my first post, hoping to get some info on what offset and back spacing i need for my build

i have a 2wd single cab long bed s10 with a 6 link set up in the bag

im going to run a 20x8 or 20x9 in the front and a 20x11 or 20x12 in the rear
has anyone else used a simular set up?

rear end measures 54.5 inch from mounting surface to mounting surface

front is a michigan metal works A arm set up with +2 with 14 corvette c7 rotors
measures 59.5 mounting surface to mounting surface

does anyone know the inner fender to inner fender measurement on the front and back of the 47-53?

thanks in advance for any help.

ill post some pics as soon as i figure out how lol

welcome.

1. you are in the pre 47 forum. you will want to post in the 47-59 forum going forward. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...splay.php?f=13

if you post a project thread, please be sure to do it in the 47-59 "project and build" section and not the 47-59 main forum

2. I used 20x8 and 20x9 on my last AD S10 swap. in the front I used 20x8 with 4 inch backspace, in the back I used 20x9, these are the offsets I ordered.

this is what it looked like

in the back I could have gone another inch wider on the rim with the same 3.5 backspace. the front also had good clearance but I wasnt bagged and needed turning ability with tucked wheels.

that is important because with the 4" wider track width, if you ordered the same 4" backspace on 8" wide, you would need to lift the truck for the wheels to clear the fenders in order to turn sharply. if you wanted it to look like mine, you would need that extra two inches back, so that would be a 6" backspace 8" wide wheel on the front.

Joe is one of the most knowledgeable and common sense S-10 swap guy around. Follow what he says. That especially goes with the big rims
