Rednose 65...1965 chevy short step-side

This is my '65 Chevy. I bought it back in 1997. I started to work on it then, but I abandoned the whole project in 2000 unfortunately. I had too many (3)projects going on at the same time. I recently got back on it (as in a few months). My first and major goal is to get it back on the streets. I'm not building a "Show Stopper" I just want a good, running, practical, (and hopefully) "bad ass" truck.

Since I've been on this site, I've come across quite a few "bad ass trucks" in my eyes anyway , all with their own style. I haven't been on here long, but I've already been influenced by some their looks. I know this is a never ending game, because this aint my first rodeo. But as I build my truck I hope to , one day, be mentioned along with some of these cats:
The likes of
ChopperJohn, Doogie, Malibob, Bird7263, JChavez62, Frmula505, ChevyTruckNut, Hornet53, GGInferno, Harwaa, Markeb01 just to name a few...and please don't get ofennded if I didn't use your name...

AND I AINT RIDIN, JUST THAT GAME RECOGNIZE GAME.

With that being said, this will be my build-up thread. Thank you guys for the information you have shared with already and thanks in advance for advise to come.

Did something I've never done before...and then turned around and did it to my truck.
Waiting on my buddy to email me the pics so I can post them.

Re: Rednose 65...1965 chevy short step-side

Alright...while I'm waiting on pics from my buddy...

You know Extreme Times call for Extreme Measures???
Well times are rough right now and I really want to do all kinds of things to my truck including the Big Fat Whites but because of financial reasons, I may go with the Skinny Whites (which I don't mind at all).

Any how, I was at my buddies yesterday and he also has a 65 Short Bed, but his is a Fleet. He was cleaning his truck out with a grinder using a wire wheel... I noticed he had a few tires laying around with the white lettering. Well I snatched the grinder and started buffing out the tires...needless to say, I went down the street pulled 2 of mine off took'em back and buffed them out as well.

I'll post pics as soon as possible for feed back.
