flatbed pre-shaved stakes

I'm looking for a 55 2nd series flatbed pre-shaved stakes. They are tapered 2 3/8x1 3/4 on the top and 1 7/8x1 3/4 on bottom. Prefer wood but would consider metal.
Thanks

Yes. I could make them but I would rather find some already made. Preferably metal pocket stakes that won’t rot.

never seen 'em

always thought the flatbeds looked good with a homemade headache rack and partial side rails

I'm thinking that you are going to have to make them be they wood or metal. Not all of the flat bed stake pockets are the same size.

I've got to make at least one for my 77 dualie before I haul stuff in it again. I need to make a new set of racks but have been putting that off.

If they're just ornamental you could make them from any wood...for strength I'd go oak or hickory...
Theres some mighty fine wood with beautiful grain in it that could also be used...its really up to you...Google wood finishes images...it might help....also the finish you use can really change the way it looks

Re: flatbed pre-shaved stakes

White oak or hickory would be best strength wise but I think the original cattle racks for my grandfather's 48 Chev 1 ton were made of Douglas Fir. They were built right out here in the yard where I live now and I know that my grandfather didn't spend any extra on hardwood.

Truthfully they can as exotic or as plain as you pick. Some might be stronger than others and some might be prettier if you intend to varnish them.
