Lowered 78 SC Dually

Nothing really to see here, just a new daily beater :metal:
I asked the seller "Just how big is the "Cujo" that took a bite out of that rear fender" He said previous owner (Farmer) had a real mean Hay Trailer  |
Re: Lowered 79 SC Dually
Nice. So break out the camera and lets see more of the ole girl.

Re: Lowered 79 SC Dually

I'll get more this weekend, she's not a beauty queen,
has rust, dents, etc... Sweet looking rig from say 50' (Yup, that's 5X the normal 10' paint job most say) *Running boards gotta go, I can't even rack her. :dohh: (Removing the toolbox, bent rear bumper, and hitch) |
Re: Lowered 79 SC Dually
Nice! I've been looking for one, but hard to find in good shape at a decent price....

lost count. Probably overpaid a little, but all the suspension and the tires are only 6 months old. So some of it done. ;) |
Re: Lowered 79 SC Dually
Any idea what the suspension setup is?

(Previous owner had no clue, he just paid for it) Front is 3” Street Edge (Belltech) drop spindles. Cut 1 1/2 coils off springs. Should be total of 6” Rear is Tinworks’s kit. C-notch and then flip kit. Should be 8” probably more like around 9-10" *It actually sits level, Square wheel openings throw off your eye making the rear look lower. |

Updated pic's with a few personal touches made. :metal:
*Running boards and toolbox now gone, tire fixed, pass mirror fixed, glass cleaned, waiting on some LED bulbs for all the markers and the Dash lights. Next moving under the hood and fix a few issues. |
Re: Lowered 79 SC Dually
Out of curiosity, were you provided any specs or info on how the drop was achieved?
Looking much better already! |

Thanks, have a new (used) set of hips coming for it, the pass rear was attacked by Hay trailer. It's destroyed  |

Sounds like you think it looks a little rough, but I guarantee you, it's already pretty cool looking.
I will say, it appears that you already have a "decent" black dually... |

inconsiderates at Walmart, Lowe's, etc....... This was just a hair rougher than expected. (2.5 hours ea way and left out a few picture angles) However, I am real happy with it, just need to fix a few minor things and start driving the wheels off of her. (Bought it to daily) Only had "Kodiak" in the background since Halloween, been wanting one forever. (2007, Dirtymax, Allison, it had just a hair under 40,000 miles when I picked up) I drive it to work on Friday's, or on weekends. She is a big girl for sure, but handles very well. I just don't drive it daily due to MPG, + parts becoming obsolete. |

it's the Kodiak specific parts that are a nightmare. Your most welcome :metal: |

Nice, although the cows might be bothered by the sound. :D

Re: Lowered 79 SC Dually
I love these trucks, but the wide hips scare me for around town.
It looks like you got a very nice truck. Any future plans for the truck? |
