Re: 69 Olive Verde

Interior wise I still need to build my speaker kick panels, adjust door panels, and do some custom floor mats.

Exterior is just tail lights, bleed brakes, Finish engine covers, and put tub back in.

Then alignment, ac charge and I will probably repaint wheels (few chips during the build process).

Post plenty of pics of the kick panel build, Im probably going to build some for my truck this next winter.

Here's a shot of the speakers and lighting. Sorry I didn't do any build pictures I was on a role and didn't want to pick up my phone.

Wiring to 69 c10 using:

Advanced Key System AK-PSB06

AAW harness with only 4 wire ignition switch Battery RED, Ignition PINK, Neutral Safety PURPLE, Starter/ ACC BROWN

LS Swapped truck AUTO trans (not sure if I would run remote start on non fuel injected motor or any manual transmission.)

This is nothing more then the way I installed mine on my particular truck build, using push start, smart key entry, remote start.

Push-Start Module
All jumpers left on default for alarm and remote start function through 2nd module

8pin Main Harness
Pink- N/A
White - Purple neutal switch
Red - Bat 12v at ignition switch
Blue - N/A
Green - Pink ignition wire
Black - Ground
Red - Bat 12v at ignition
Yellow - Brown Acc/ starter wire

10pin Accessory Harness
Orange - N/A
Gray - N/A
Black - Ground (if you have a functional neutral safety)
Purple - to second module
Pink - N/A
Brown - signal out on your brake light switch
Yellow - engine tach signal

Second Module
(Jumpers left on default)
8pin main harness
Brown - N/A
Grey - Front parking lights
Grey - Rear parking lights
Red - Bat 12v source
Green - N/A (not running locks)
Blue - N/A (not running locks)
Black - Ground
Purple - Horn

7pin Accessory Harness
White - N/A per my application
Purple - Push start module purple wire
Brown - signal out on your brake light switch
Blue - N/A per my application
Green - N/A per my application
Red - Tie into first modules YELLOW ACC wire at ignition

I choose not to run shock sensor or rear antenna.

The provided instructions are really well laid out in the installation manuals provided by Advanced Key

So I highly recommend reading through every bit of it before beginning install.

Hope this helps someone out. I know every vehicle will be slightly different depending on the specs, but maybe it will help trouble shoot.

My remote start did not want to crank correctly until after complete installation which I am guessing had to do with tach programming during first fire up. But with the good step by step info in the manual I was able to reprogram it and remote start works flawlessly.

Finally stitched the material to finish my engine covers. Here's a few pictures of the stages. Only shot I didn't get was the 6061 aluminum strip I fit in the recess threaded and held in with button top allen head bolts.

Pattern matches the seats.

Amazing work as usual! Thanks for the detailed push button starting wiring for dummies. I think its basic enough for me to do it, appreciate it.

Your welcome.

Hopefully the wilwood brake fluid shows up tomorrow and I can finally finish up this build with a cruise.

Last night I was able to run the truck in the garage (no brakes) for a while to build up temperature. I just sat in the truck listening to tunes with the air blowing watching the temp creep up. Finally...216degrees on the dot the fans kicked on just as we had programmed in the computer. No leaks, as temp fell back around the 208 mark. Apparently these all aluminum ls motors like those hot temps.
I am planning on changing out my tail lights to the fesler lights but not sure if they will ever show up seeing how I ordered them in mid March.

Spent a few hours pulling wheels and detail cleaning chassis parts. Then got it in the sun for the first time.

Thank you. Just ordered fatter wheels and tires for the rear. The 255/40/20 20x8 looked lame from the back.

Got new rear wheels in. Time to do some painting.

Thinking I might do white letters on the tires this go around. Could be a neat contrast to the black lip and give it a little more race attitude. Thoughts???

Re: 69 Olive Verde

I think that would look sweet with white letters.

Re: 69 Olive Verde

Finally got brakes bleed...what a nightmare. Every single fitting leaked and I am absolutely positive I paid careful attention to good double flares and made sure every line seated as tight as possible when I assembled everything. But I guess when the fluid gets in there under pressure it allows gaps inthe fittings because I was able to tighten every fitting another turn, crazy. Luckily it's all good now.

Other brake issue was the pedal throw. The stock pedal arm bottom out quickly and required more throw to pump. So redesigned the pedal arm (which looks way cooler now) and made new push rod linkage for the booster.

Good news is I actually got to drive it down the road and wow does it run and sound like a beast! Could not be happier with the power it is making. It flat pins you in the seat until you get off the throttle.

Bad news: broke the end of the throttle cable at the throttle body right before puling in the driveway. Little redesign work and we will be good to go again.

Figured I would try on my extra wheels first. Only did half the tire before I got frustrated with the oil marker. Any thoughts...likes or dislikes. I really want people to know the truck means business but not take away from the clean look of the truck. Guess I'm going to have to sleep on this one.

Probably won't do tire size and just do brand and model.

Re: 69 Olive Verde

I kind of like it, it ties into the white on your truck. I agree do brand and model only

Have to replace inner tie rods because they are not seating correctly, one of the final pieces from the last owner haha.

And here's the brake pedal I made to correct the angle and give it more throw on the bottom end before hitting the floor.
