you got a good jump on that harem you must be starting! Question: It seems like you've been non stop on these builds for a good while now......still enjoying it? I'm on the other end of the spectrum, still in a holding pattern, wrapping up my concrete pour to build a small shed to free up some space in the garage so I can start my own damn harem!

Love it!! I’m in a holding pattern as we remodel a couple bathrooms.

It's the factory color from I think 78-82, somewhere in there. GM Corporate Blue. Thanks Mike

Thanks Chief. I like orange and had I stayed with the factory color I would have gone orange. However, since the truck is crimson/white, I thought the factory color (Corporate Blue) would pop against the crimson firewall?
Did the Corporate Blue color come from a rattle can or did you shoot it w/a gun? Any prep tips on the aluminum heads you care to share?

SCOTI, color came from a rattle-can. I did a basic cleaning of the heads and the degreased them prior to spraying. I painted intake separate from the block/heads.

Finally found a build thread. Been lurking on IG. I’m Mac’s Garage. My 73 has a 350/700r4 but built that engine when I was 14 and it now burns and smokes a little oil. A customer of mine has a 5.3 I pulled out of a rolled over truck we parted out. 120k miles 4x4. So I’d have to get trans shaft and tail housing swapped for a 2wd. But my question is on your intake. Is it using the factory truck injectors?? Nice truck by the way man.

54Caddy, yes, I used the factory injectors. However, I took the cap off of the tip of the injector so that it would sit deeper into the manifold. Used a pliers to take them off. Thanks Mike
