I'll play. Her or mine on my 70 long bed.
First pic I made one out of two.
Second pic painted billet dash.
Third pic Gas tank cover.
Forth pic of dash in truck. You can also see power windows, Grant wheel, and if you look close you can see the locking hood release next to the em. brake handel.
Fifth pic heated seats.

Forgive me for saying, but, was that really custom or an "inexpensive" improvisation because you couldn't afford a new grille?

Not being sarcastic, just asking

There is a walk through setup for the stepside side marker fuel filler in the FAQ section of the board. It is actually easier on the stepside than on a fleetside.

The first 3 are of my 67 Panel. Split barn doors and lift gate. The last two are of my 70 2WD Blazer. I shaved the gas filler and will be placing it behind the rear side marker. WES

Wes you could have that dead Rat you found in the heater box of the 67 panel chromed and mounted on the hood....then you would have a true Rat Rod.

I have the exact same seats and console as you have waiting to be installed in my truck. Was the install easy? Did you reinforce the floor? Hows the leg room, I'm 6' 3" with lomg legs?

Re: lets see your trick mods and custom touches!!

Ive always been kind of proud of the shift light idea, now I just want to change the choke letters to say DONT CHOKE. ;)

As for the seats they installed pretty easy, I probably should have reinforced them a little more but they are pretty solid right now. Im only 5'10 and have plenty of leg room but it will probably be kind of cramped for a taller person, you might look into a tilt column while your at it.

eightbanger, Chrome rat.. Now that would have been some modification!! ;) I think that I would have had to comb it's hair first.

1969stepside, The Blazer never had a top right from the factory. I am having to modify it to accept one now.. WES

Thanks for the reply, my truck does have tilt and I am going to do the "push the steering column closer to the dash " thing as well. Just a thought on reinforcing the floor with those seats, in a severe frontal impact the seats will rip out of the floor with you attached to the seat by the seatbelt. I dont want to hijack the thread but I feel from experience (check the attached pics and I walked away from this) that this is an important topic. Seatbelts work as long as everything else works with them.
