Cruise control Indicator light

I have a lsx 5.3 engine in a 82 that is drive by wire. I have the engine and pcm from a 2004 with the cruise control. I am trying to make a cruise indicator light come on when cruise is engaged. I cant seem to figure it out. The wire from the pcm that does this is a serial data wire. Has any one done this. The location in the cluster is where the 4wd indicator was. This needs 12volt to power up. I would appreciate any help .

I am also interested. A couple of guys on ls1tech are pretty knowledgeable also.

I'd bet you'll need the BCM for that...

The bcm does control all of those functions. I was hoping someone figured a way to pull voltage or ground from the tac module or something like that with some relays to make it work. There is some voltage from the pcm that works the clutch signal , It also works with the cruise. The tcc has voltage , It also works with the cruise to disengage. Maybe something there to work with. I was hoping someone had already figured it out.
