Those look like 1999-2000 F-body manifolds to me.

Well that is what the guy told me!
Yes one of them had a heat shield.
We removed it and ground off the attachments and had them coated
Old Yelr may have something

KW is where my family is from, 4 generations, I have been down South West for the past 65 years, don't get back much anymore so I guess this is home for me
We don't shovel sunshine and the cars don't rust, and it is a dry heat in June!

Looks good! Final assembly is really rewarding....and often a bit stressful, at least for me.

Well lets see if I can find where all the wires go!
He says he wants to drive it for his birthday on Sept 11
He may be able to drive it out of the shop but it will still need more work

Looking awesome, love the color. What kind of deal is that for powering the E-brake?

Re: Arizona Steel 46

Home made !
200# and two inch stroke electric, enough to tighten the Wilwood parking brakes

Cool idea. What actuator is that? Gotta be way less money than the electric parking brake that is on the market now.

Truck looks great.

Re: Arizona Steel 46

Well we drove it out of the garage and on to the trailer under it's own power and today we took it to the front shop for alingnment to correct the spec instructions on the upper
A arms. it came with O camber and 6* castor but the shop said it had 1 1/2* N camber and 4* castor by the instructions my toe was bye "eye balling" so that did not count!

Re: Arizona Steel 46

Right on solid! You must have sent some of that AZ heat up here! Frig it's hot. You must be pumped seeing it's on it's own power.

Great News...
I wish I was closer I just wanna ride in that for a little bit... I'm sure there's still some details to work out but it's got to make you feel good to be done by Sept 11th

Truck looks great! Vette on the lift does too. Been way too hot here too...killer with the humidity. Dreaming of ac in the shop.

Re: Arizona Steel 46

Well still sorting out the break issue...................Can not stop with Wilwood brakes!

Everything is brand new Willwood at the wheels double 7" booster 1" master cylinder
Solid peddle no air in system, even with HOT pads I am not able to slide the tires

Re: Arizona Steel 46

Hey the build looks great.
Would you be able to post any photos of how you mounted the seat?

solidaxel 01-11-2016 02:11 PM

Re: Arizona Steel 46

I do not have a pic of the hinge but it was a simple hard ware store door hinge welded to the seat frame and the bolted to the front of the existing seat riser.
his would let you fold the back part and then raise the seat forward to access the cavity under the seat.
The seat was from a Dodge Caravan third seat
