Amps to Volts conversion

Many years ago I had Bill Russell of Clock-Doc convert my factory Amp gauge to a Volt gauge. It works great, the center mark is calibrated to 12 volts so as long as I have normal charging voltage, the needle swings to the right, about 1/4" of movement.

I called Bill yesterday to see if was still doing that kind of work and he welcomes all board members and said he would acid etch the gauge as part of the conversion for free. If the gauge needs silk screening, there would be additional charges.

He can modify your printed circuit so that the newly converted gauge will run from the keyed Ign-on, same as the fuel gauge.

If you send a gauge to him, send the plate that holds the Amp and Temp gauges as well. The plate needs an extra hole drilled for the gauge conversion.

So, if you want to maintain factory looks but have a Voltmeter rather than an Ammeter, then contact Bill.

Interesting, what does he charge for this service?

Price for conversion is $95.00

I think he said plus $45 for silk screening, if needed or wanted.
