ATHS Tri-State Truck Show '19
 

Right now this post is for informing members of the show coming up near Winchester, VA at the Ruritan Club grounds in Clearbrook, VA N. of Winchester on US11 Sept 26-28. Generally around 300 trucks on Saturday. A really good show and proceeds go to local food banks. After the show, this thread will be where to look for pictures.

This show is held by a collection of ATHS chapters from four states actually. But WV falls under the VA one. It's the Shenandoah (VA), Mason-Dixon (MD), Baltimore-Washington (MD/VA), and Susquehanna (PA) chapters. We get trucks from the MD Eastern Shore, Delaware, farther down in VA, as well as other states farther away. Pickups to class 8s. Museum quality to working trucks to unrestored. Unjudged, purely for the love and enjoyment of the trucks. Nothing but happy friendly good people who are nuts for trucks. Keystone Truck & Tractor Museum from Colonial Heights, VA (near Richmond) always brings a couple up - www.keystonetractorworks.com . Also a gathering of fellers from the Stovebolt Page are always there, mostly the Advance Designs.

We really ought to try to get our own group gathering, a show within a show, going there. I have a buddy in WVA who views this site and builds cool pickups egging me on to get a GM Truck show going in the area. I don't know that I have all that in me, but I think I planted the seed in his head (but he wants me to do it). I'd do all I could if there was someone else better at such things interested in taking part. But I suggested at least gathering at this show that's already up and running for a start. So c'mon! Get that thing out of bed and roll it on to this show!

hey Special k attatched is a link to the flyer, clearbrook va. there is a dinner friday and proceeds help support show and local charities. I look forward to this show every year,Pat

Thanks for putting that up, Pat. This one and Macungie are my two favorite shows. Good good people and nice nice trucks. Usually great great weather weather, too too :lol:

Saturday breakfast at the Clearbrook Shopping Center is a highlight as well. There's bluegrass playing at the festival at Strawberry Park along the Shenandoah near Berryville, too

That C50 car hauler gets used "lightly" to do what it is built to do. It is fellow member's c60clf's.

Don't forget Tristate coming up next week, starting on Thursday. Good mix of semis medium duty and pickups. The Chevy brigade will be well represented with show trucks to project trucks,all are welcome,Let us know if you're coming.Pat

It's just around the bend. Get on I-81 and come see a show! Not far at all south of I-70 or north of I-64.

The Marmon trucks pictured on Tristate flyer belonged to Bob Neil of McDowell VA. Bob lost his battle to cancer this August 13,His son will be bringing his trucks to Tristate.Bob will be missed by many,Pat

Hey Jeff, I'm glad you and Wendy made it. I'm sorry I missed you. I see she found a couple about right for her size. How about that tree grown up through that frame and transmission? I don't have your phone#. I lost my phone after Carlisle Trucks.

I didn't get there till about 9:30 Saturday. It really is a Thurs-Sat show. Many guys get there Wed or earlier. Buncha retired old farts! :lol:. Some only come on Saturday like many shows, but this one just might be best on Friday.



A buddy of mine builds the nicest stuff. Doesn't talk a lot about it, just does it. Ray finished up this Autocar and it was it's first show. Absolute old truck fan perfection. What else is left to desire? Started with a sleeper cab, Cummins, 5-hole Alcoas, aluminum front axle... and on. It's a street rod!
