It looks awesome! You're at the state I was in September. Now the assembly starts!
I just bought a new steering box and a new PS pump. I went with the red head steering box with 3.5 turns. . And while at it a new ac system with new hoses and compressor....

There is no end to the details you can spend money on in assembly...

You are absolutely correct. I bought tons of parts over the last year and restored others that I could reuse so that the reassembly would be expedited when i got it back from paint. As I began, I already have compiled a list of things that I will still need. When I restored my 70 K10, the 71 Blazer, and the 69 Wagon, I had to restore the AC systems starting right with finding brackets as all 3 had the systems removed over the years. I probably spent close to a grand on each just for the AC stuff. Kind of glad this one doesn't have AC.

The parts I bought recently are a bit frivolous, the original parts where working but looked old and pitted. But since everything else is in tip top shape I felt I had to go all the way and buy new parts.

That is a relly beautiful Blue. After seeing this, I think I may stay with Blue also. I'm in the rust removal stage.

Thanks much. Little by little putting it back together. All new brake lines, fuel line, tank, driveline in, some wiring done, window guts in, mirrors on, rear bumper, etc. over the past few weeks.

Rick, are you needing any parts. Maybe make a list, I have some NOS, but mostly used

Thanks for the support

Re: Blazer got some color today

Jim,
Even after buying new and used parts for the last year and refurbing the used, I find stuff I need every day I work on it. For example, last Friday, my new brake hoses arrived so I worked on installing them on the weekend, put the new wheel cylinders on new shoes along and the with hardware. I had run all new lines before putting the engine, trans and transfer case in. Pulled the hubs, cleaned them and prepped them for repacking and assembly - that's when I noticed that the passenger side lower ball joint needed replacement. So I pulled the right axle and spindle out and removed the knuckle. Lower ball joints easy to find - uppers not so much. I think I have them coming. Of course, I'll replace the spindle axle shaft needle bearings and seals, and as long as the axle is out, I'll also replace the axle ujoint since it would be dumb not to do so since it is out. Then I'll pull everything off the driver's side because if the passenger side lower ball joint was bad, chances are those will need replacing. About another $400 in parts and a couple full days of work, and I'll be back to where I started.
