The Blazer came home today. Before I sent it for body and paint (a year ago), I put all new body mounts on it. Now starts the fun. Install all new 350 I built for it last year, all new harnesses, lines, brakes cylinders, hoses, emergency brake cables, gas tank, interior, wheels, tires, soft top, roll bar, etc. etc. By spring it will be done.

Did 69 Blazers come with a/c as an option? I see your 69 doesn't have it and neither does mine.

Re: Blazer got some color today

I am pretty sure you could get AC on a 69. I have a brochure for 69 and it shows a chassis with the drive train and the engine has an AC compressor on it. The brochure also talks about all the comfort and convenience options you could order. My 71 had factory AC. This one is more bare bones. The standard Blazer came with only a single driver's seat (utility type bucket) and an open top. A passenger seat and a rear seat were options as was a hard top. I often have wondered how the topless Blazers were shipped especially winter. Don't imagine too many were ordered without a top.

What rims are on the blazer - US Mag or Ansen slot wheels?

Don't know. I haven't looked them over too closely. I have new series 62 15 X 8 steelies that are being painted body color. I like the look. I'll either run caps or not. Have to see when I get to that stage.

It looks awesome! You're at the state I was in September. Now the assembly starts!
I just bought a new steering box and a new PS pump. I went with the red head steering box with 3.5 turns. . And while at it a new ac system with new hoses and compressor....

There is no end to the details you can spend money on in assembly...

You are absolutely correct. I bought tons of parts over the last year and restored others that I could reuse so that the reassembly would be expedited when i got it back from paint. As I began, I already have compiled a list of things that I will still need. When I restored my 70 K10, the 71 Blazer, and the 69 Wagon, I had to restore the AC systems starting right with finding brackets as all 3 had the systems removed over the years. I probably spent close to a grand on each just for the AC stuff. Kind of glad this one doesn't have AC.

The parts I bought recently are a bit frivolous, the original parts where working but looked old and pitted. But since everything else is in tip top shape I felt I had to go all the way and buy new parts.

Thanks much. Little by little putting it back together. All new brake lines, fuel line, tank, driveline in, some wiring done, window guts in, mirrors on, rear bumper, etc. over the past few weeks.
