Selling A Couple What Should I Build First?
 

What do you guys think?Im selling 2 of my rides to finish another,and most of what parts are left,that will easily build one from start to finish.Should i go with the 67 GMC SWB,62 BelAir S/W,or 65 Biscayne factory heater delete car,correct dated 396t400.i dont have pics of the 65 yet,its in my name just stored elsewhere until i have room.

I have all the used parts for both,the 62 looks like a easier project but its not really,still want to completly disasemble its plans are use a rebuilt 454 i have(has a 396 in it now)and t350,plans are for color change,of course all new body cushions,susp,brakes,exhaust,all mechanical parts,air bags,18" billets,everything new or redone i have factory power windows,seat,cruise,autronic eye,1pc bumpers,grille guard,almost every possible factory option.the 67 i have a 468 and a t400,it will be 5 lug,disc brakes,it will be a plan jane model i have heater delete,radio delete,it will be basic except for a factory tach,and buckets,and ill throw in a tilt to accomodate the manual steering,manual discs,main thing is GO FAST,be pretty and simple,looking at 18" rims.frame will be redone as with the wagons.also a original 65 Biscayne 2 dr post ii recently aquired,it came factory with radio,heater delete,manual steering,brakes,rubber floor mats,396 T400 all correct dates down to water pump,its a original project,been off road for 25 years,original rust free AZ car.No 18s on this one,this one will be 100% original looking,only thing that it didnt come with that i will be adding is a tilt,and a factory tachometer(that came in the deal)well it was part of another dash in the trunk.Any of you have ideas,interested in hearing,please dont say truck,just because we all love trucks.Ive been driving only a truck for quite a while and leaning towards something else,but not sure.:confused:

I wish I had your problem. Personally I would build the '65 Biscayne first, since it sounds like a fairly original, rare, and desirable car. By the way, what 2 vehicles did you get rid of?

What city in AZ do you live in? I'm in Glendale.
If you could post a pic of that 65 that would be cool. I dont really know what that looks like. If it were me, I would go for the truck because I really like that style and I wish I could have one, but you have to go for what you really want.

69 GMC SWB BBC,AC,PS,PB,Rallys,Tilt,Tach,Buckets and 79 2wd(dont like these years much anyway)new paint .030 396 t350,new Bumpers,Grille,grille moldings,lenses,has tach,tilt,have all ext pieces.needs carpet and new weatherstrip,and exhaust to be done,all motor accessories brand new,painted with motor out,and nose offengine comp spotless-no drive time.good interior.make nice daily driver with about a $1000 in investments.Ive leaned towards the 65 but not probably going to be a real nice one for daily driving-LOL actually the 67 wont have a heater either,but it might get aftermarket AC/Heat system?I dont know what to do.Im thinking the 65 deserves a nasty solid lifter cam,have factory Holley cast iron intake,correct 780 Holley for intake,probably ditch the manifolds and go with headers,manifolds i have are correctly dated to motor so i will save,but needs some 3" exhaust and flows,3.73 gears for that stop light to stop light action.Im certainly not going to cut it up due to its rarity status,i dont think many 65s came without a heater,trucks i understand but a full size family car is odd.

thats a nice 61!!! Heres my 62 Wagon insparation,and what i have in my mind the end result hopefully will be.I have that 3rd seat,so passangers can look at the front ends of others when cruising down the road,and a wagon,talk about the ultimate room for stereo equipment.heck room for a nitrous bottle too!!!

heres a 65 Biscuit for those not familiar with them.they were the bottom of the barrel of the full size Chevys,one step above was the BelAir,then the Impala and of course the Impala SS,according to literature the 65 2dr post was the most inexpensive car in the fullsize line with the base model engine/trans there was 50,000 some odd produced,but im sure many many less with a heater delete.and this package.

KEEP THE 65 Biscayne !!! If not sell it to me. And keep it all stock. It doesn't get any better than a factory big block Biscayne!!!

I would probably go with the 65.

Just remember one thing. You always need a truck to haul stuff. Like motors to the machine shop. Or to tow other projects. Thats the reason I got my 3/4 ton. Personally, I would get the truck going first. You have a great selection of project tho. :D

Hey Micah, hit the wagon first. Man, you had all the stuff for it. That will make a killer cruiser. Just nail that rear quarter panel and get it done.

I vote for the 65, then the truck, then the wagon (I've never been much of a wagon fan, with the exception of a 72 Hurst Olds vista cruiser I saw a picture of once.

LOL seems like the wagon and 65.I have everything to finish wagon,including the retired body shop owner/builder to do the body and paint,im sure he will do others too,he doesnt do anything anymore,looks foward to doing something,but only a few hours a day,bad knees.the wagon might be more practical.the truck i wont hopefully be throwing greasy parts in the back,hoping it will be too nice,for junkyard parts and such,but my little utility trailer can easily go behind it,or the S/W.actually my wife has a shhhh(nissan) that i can tow or throw crap in the back.only thing i really need to get for all of them is ll the new stuff redo brakes,susp,exh,radiator,carpet,interior,tires,frames redone,its a matter of buying the new stuff and putting it on,after disassembly and paint and put back together.the 65 will be mostly stock looking,being that its rare i wont do any cutting,it will have some performance upgrades,but esily go back to stock.Ive never seen a 65 with a delete setup,even in AZ windows can get foggy in the morning,it may be 70 in the winter but 35-40 at night,and it does rain once every few months for about 10 seconds.actually the winter time cold in the mornings in dry,and it seems alot colder than it is to me.i use my heater on the way to work in my truck.im feeling stuck between the 62 and 65,i should probably get the S/W going and get that water bed installed in the back-lol,it would make a sweet ride to go on trip with plenty of room,when its done the 65 can go on the starting block,hmmmm

I think we have a bunch of grocery getter people in here so far,seems like the wagon so far.the 65 is cool,but ive considered turning it and making a buck,im not a real huge 65 fan,but its cool none the less.
