frame mock up with 700r4 transmission moving engine forward using the stock location of the Transfer case to reuse driveshaft original locations (no cutting of driveshafts) along with stock linkage being installed. Oh yea, used the advance adapter output shaft in the 700r4.

How close is your front driveshaft to trans pan, modifications there, any problems?Doing same. Trans is back home from build in couple days, double cardan may get in my way, ready to mock mine up as well. Thanks for any replies or moe pics.

Re: 1972 blazer frame off project

By using a stock pan, it will work ok. Not alot of clearance but I do not have to beat in the corner of the pan. With the driveshaft moving up and down will not hit the stock pan in any way....

Stock trans pan works, no whacking or mods required. Thanks.

Engine set into frame. Looking to get headers bolted in. Not sure exactly which headers I am going to go with at this time. I have some used ones bolted up

I read these threads and I am just amazed how y'all just take your trucks apart. I have a fair amount of mechanical ability. I can turn a wrench, I can weld (with the help of a good grinder) and I have an eye for detail. But taking my truck down to the frame scares me more than a little. But y'all give me hope. I love it. Now, all I need is a place to work, as my one car garage won't cut it.
