Re: 97 K1500 Silverado for sale

I ended the auction on ebay when I realized I had requested a payment method that was not authorized per ebay rules (cashier's check). Quite frustrating... If you're interested or have any questions, please let me know. Truck will remain for sale for $19.5k for a little bit longer (here) - after that, I'm gonna take best view's and Joe's advice and find a place for it somewhere.

With 67k original miles, you will never be able to replace it. Please keep it and find a place for that truck!

One last fling... $19K to a member if anyone is interested. I appreciate the kind words, it's a nice truck and I may end up keeping it after all, but my intent was/is to sell for now at least. Thanks again for looking.

Eye candy for sure. Just wish I didn’t need my crew cab for the family or I would be all over it.

Just seen it on BaT without knowing it was yours.
Great choice keeping the steelies on.

Re: 97 K1500 Silverado for sale

Thanks Sicklajoie, I do prefer the look of the steelies, got em pc'ed and they are like new. Whoever wins the auction gets both sets, the ones on the truck and the depicted set of 97 K1500 aluminum wheels.

Yes it was. That was my first time selling on BaT, it was interesting to say the least. I've never had anyone ask for a picture of a dipstick before.

Congratulations on the sale. I thought the dipstick picture request was really odd too

Cashier's checks cannot be trusted unless you call the issuing bank to authenticate it. Even if your bank will cash it, which is quite common.

I haven't been there, done that, but know two people who have. One had the FBI knock on his door for passing a bad check! He had already spent the money on another car and, of course, the car he sold was long gone.

The other guy smelled a rat, so did not go through with the transaction. A big clue is a buyer offering asking price or more.
