painting my 72 blazer

I am getting ready to paint my blazer, and was wanting to do it in two steps. First the interior then the exterior. My question is should I paint the windshield frame during the interior portion or the exterior?

Re: painting my 72 blazer

Is the body stripped of glass etc...masking off the windshield under where the rubber goes and paint in and around the windshield frame, top of the dash. Then reverse, mask off the inside of doors, interior, inside windshield. Painting exterior without opening the doors all the way is easier. Painting just the exterior flat surfaces will be enough.

I am changing my blazers color to Huger Orange, I removed my windshield and stripped all the paint off the dash and frame. I did not see how I was going to paint the door jambs good so I removed the doors and disassembled them as well. Just painted the floor tonight black and figure this weekend it should be dry enough to put some wood on to stand on to paint the dash and windshield frame. Using base coat clear coat so I will do the whole tub to include the clear then paint and clear coat doors separate with the hood. I’ve been told it should match with no problem. Anyone have any other suggestions ? Just my plan, will let you know how it goes
