Which alternator??

I'd like to switch over to an internally-regulated alternator. Which one do I get? The dillweeds at O'Reilly will probably end up giving me a 30 Amp alternator from a '79 Pinto at best, so I thought I'd get my learnin' here before I go in...

50-60 amp range should be plenty for your truck if your not running a lot of accessories. This Delco alternator would come from a 73 and up GM vehicle.
