It's been a while since we had any car related picture threads. I'm doing a Station wagon thread separately and another for El Camino-types. So,lets keep this to sedans, coupes, and convertibles...thanks!

Starting off in the '60s with some Fords:

Here are some I've had other than the Fbody's I posted in the welcome section.
My favorite cars of all time. I'll have another one in the next year or two.

Loved this car. I would still have it but we sold it when we adopted our little girl.

Had big plans for this one but I got hit with the Fbody bug.

This was a lot of fun

I'm diggin' the old personal pics. In the above picture I notice the StepVan w/"PARTS" on back. Cruisin' Grand is an event I'd like to catch one day.I nabbed a lot of pictures from that on SoCalCarCulture back before they screwed up and went w/Flicker...argh! I love that '56 Crown Victoria. I must have built three or four model kits of that car...and the '40 & 49/50 Fords when I was a kid. I remember I saw the Crown Vic was coming out and had my dad keep checking the hardware store till it came out. It was a big occasion the evening we went to go but it. one of those moments you'll never forget

I like 'em all.,but lean towards the small cars. I have found love for the fat cruisers as I've gotten older. Hey,a truck guy wants mo' comfort when he crawls outta the truck, right?

You never saw these Fords around much til more recently. My aunt & uncle had one. They got broad sided at a light and got a new '66 LTD 7-Liter. My cousin had the '69 Cobra in yellow

Tim I'm diggin' on the 50s and 60s Fords.

My dad had a 1951 Crestliner just like this one (except for the bumper gaurds, spotlights, and door handle protector thingys). He died in 1958 and I was heartbroken. The Crestliner got sold off a couple of years later and I was heartbroken again.

Before it got sold my mom drove this 3 on the tree beauty with me and my two sisters to Death Valley to visit a relative. Guess what, it overheated. We were saved by a passerby but I'll never forget being stranded in DEATH Valley.

I love the transitional years, like '49 and '60 ('61 for GM). The '49s were the first integrated bodies, yet they still made the 5-window coupe. I dig how the Fords still had external trunk hinges. The Chevys came as the couple sedan, and torpedo back, which was really the old sedan. The '60 Fords were all by themselves in style,in between the 50s & 60s. The '61 Chevys were a '60 with the fins folded down, yet the first of the late-great Impalas (62-64). Gotta love a bubble top. The same with the '61 Chevy as the '49,they had so many roofline options. The carry-over and the new.

I was ready to plunk down some change for a Torino like this (color and all) in 1968. But then Uncle Sam came calling and ruined everything.
