lowering Springs

I used lowering springs on my 71 cheyenne 3&4" when I lift the truck off the ground the springs get loose and fall to one side, to lower the truck I have to hold them in place and lower it is this normal? Thanks Joe

There is nothing you can do except get drop spindles. I heard that you can remove the upper bump stop on the upper a-arm and run a bolt through there instead. Just use a very long bolt and when you jack it up it will hit the pod that comes off the frame and won't allow the suspension to sag that far.
