Not mine but this ad if you read through it has truck parts available such as fenders, bedsides and core supports.

Who goes through old posts?

Seriously though, I emailed that guy about that truck and he never replied. My email asked just why this is the 3rd time I've seen in on CL in a year. I suspect it's a fake ad. Maybe I'll notify CL.

I talked with the owner a couple of months ago about it it even has cold a/c sound like a good truck. I just didn't care for the 3 on the three.

That one is pretty neat: 3ott too. I'll bet that truck is a better buy at $7K than most new trucks are today!

Do a lot of people unhook their heater cores in California? Is a defroster/heater something you just don't need?

*A friend told me cars didn't even come with heaters in Indonesia! That's right on the equator though.

LOL! Even in California we need heaters. We get fold weather here too.

Thanks for posting this. I am going to have a friend in Lake Tahoe take a look at this for me!

i'd look closely a the lwb 71 in person. Looking closely at the lower driver's side door and front fender behind the wheel, I'm not convinced it's as DRY as he said it was. Could be, but I'd want someone to lay eyes on before I committed.

Thanks Jocko. I have someone lined up to be my eyes for me who has done this before and I will make sure to have them check these key areas. I am quite often amazed at how sharp-eyed folks on this forum are. And I appreciate your input. Thanks again. --George

Let us know if you buy it. I am always attracted to original paint trucks. But I want a swb.

Nice looking truck! I love that green. it makes me wonder if the truck is really still wearing its original paint. Sometimes the present owner just thinks it is because that is what they have been told. Unfortunately the quality of these photos does not really tell me much about the paint. But I still like it! Thanks for posting it!

Really cool longhorn! This thing looks straight and rust free as far as i can tell. Medium olive paint would buff out super cool too. Put a motor in it and go.

72 K10 on cl. Looks nice in the pics. Not certain it's a legit Super, would want to see the SPID (no factories centered the Super emblem, not even Janesville, that I'm aware. Janesville did center the "Deluxe", so I'd be real curious to see where it was built). Interior sure is legit, just needs the parchment custom cloth cover. On picture #4, when I click on it, it gets all lined out and I can't see if there is a bright tailgate handle - that would be another clue. Sure is pretty! http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/cto/5753849515.html

Maybe it is real and he's just unlucky. I never contacted CL anyway.

Now 3OTT is what I like! My truck is that and since I love manual trannies but want to get my honey right next to me on a bench seat, what is there but 3OTT?

If I was over a little closer to Lexington, I'd be going to check this one out in person. Talked to him over the weekend, and it sounds like he had a bunch of older vehicles but is downsizing and no longer has a shop to store them all. He also has a 73 Super Beetle I was actually looking at when I noticed the truck in the background of one of the Beetle pictures, then I spotted the truck listing too. Said he'd make me a good package deal for both of them actually, but said he'd take $2500 for the truck. Said it is a straight-6 truck, but that he had a replacement 6 installed some time back. 3 on the three, manual steering, manual brakes... She's as base package as they come, but the price seems right if its anywhere as clean as it looks like it could be. Worth a look for a local I'd think.

Looks like this was a popular truck! It's already at 22.6k so it seems to be selling well
