Nope, I drag it out every couple weeks and drive it to work. Still waiting on a new owner that wants it more than I do. ;) thanks for asking.

On the way home , the service engine light came on with a #32 EGR fault code ---SOB!! I dont get fault codes on old classic iron!!!

Sounds like just pulling the EGR off and cleaning the carbon out to me, just a thought to check.

the light only seems to pop on when I run it up to around 60 mph. I think you are probably right.
My friend never was a fast driver, It may be full of carbon and need cleaning and an Italian tune-up.

Go blow the carbon out of it. I remember my grandma doing that in here 69 Camaro. :haha:

About the same thing
Blowing the carbon out at full throttle like an Italian driver.. .
Personally I never met any Italians yet but That is how my friend refers to a "drive it like you stole it " adventure.

I picked up a EGR gasket tonight, I will pull it apart this weekend and clean up the EGR. I noticed a vac line broken off from the charcoal vapor canister also. I will head to the Pick a part this weekend and score another one.

Re: 1995 GMC Sierra K1500 joins the family.

I'm wondering if it would be worth it to swap in a 5.3? I can get a complete 5.3 with accessories and harness for $425. Just wondering what other expense would be involved. Fuel, PS, old 4L60 hookup, exhaust.

If there is a good thread where someone else has done it ease LMK. I'll do some searching.

Hard to say Alan. Uniqness probably. More power or value, I am not sure if it would be worth all the changes.
