Not exactly a project but more of a shop truck at the moment while my 73' is under construction. Picked it up today for $1200. High Mileage but the motor sounds very strong. New tires, water pump , radiator. In need of a serious bath along with a cab corner and rocker on the driver's side.........

Some more photos..............a little beat up since it has done some duty as a work truck. I love the fact that the guy put electrical tape over the cab corner to try to make it match the truck. Some quick patches and she will be ready to rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my SWB W/Ts. MY passion started with my ole 92, and continues with my 02 (favorite to date) and my 07.

You going to go crazy with it or keep it as a good DD and Working truck?

Thanks Palf70step. She is definitely a weekend toy at this point. My main focus is getting my 73' short step put back together after paint. Considering how hot it has been in Virginia this month, I will stick with my company vehicle as my DD since it has AC

Managed to get a hold of the owner of the towing company who keep his surplus right next door to my office. Called him yesterday and he said I could pull whatever I wanted for free!!! Today's haul

Thats a good neighbor. I would toss him a gift certificate for lunch or something at least. Thats like having a parts truck without having to store it.

Thinking about it son...... May do a notch and flip kit instead of the 2" springs / 2" shackles

If I could do a flip and get by with a notch, I would. Still plan to use this as a truck. Going to put these on since they are sitting around the shop

Air shocks are nice but be careful how much weight you try to carry on them. Shock mounts are made to control the ride not support the weight of the load. I remember the 70's when they were popular and guys were pushing shock mounts through the floor or their cars.

Selling the spindles and drop coils and buying some Belltech drop spindles for the old girl. My Xmas present to myself will be a Western Chassis 3/5 lowering kit (3" coils , flip kit, c notch)
