Hidden CD Player W/ Retrosound Stereo Recommendations??

I bought the Retrosound Stereo for my 73 GMC, and it works great but I would like to mount a CD player somewhere hidden (perhaps under the seat)

Is it possible to run a device that only plays CD's (sort of like the old music mans) thru the aux cord that comes out of the stereo? I love the stereo but I miss my CD's. I need something that isn't battery powered and is only on when the truck is on. Has anyone done anything like this before?? I'm not real certain what to look for. Thanks!

I love remote cd decks and my system uses an indash sony radio with a single cd slot but it can control a remote deck through the indash radio. I opted to go the minidisc route for various reasons and installed the remote deck in the glove box. It uses a specific multi wire cord between the deck and radio. I though i would post this as an alternative if nothing works out. I should add that the remote deck is also a sony. Good luck in your projects.

Maybe something like this? It seems to connect through aux or bluetooth. Might have to wire it for power though.

Although this may not output through aux, it may just be it's own speaker.

A bit late but, why use a CD player? You can rip your CDs and copy them to a USB. That's what I do with my Retrosound and all my other vehicles. I listen to ripped CDs and other saved tunes from Amazon on USB. Plus I listen to the radio sometimes. I ripped all my Christmas Albums too. In the next couple months I'll plug in the Christmas USB. :chevy:

I'm old school I guess lol I'd rather listen to an album in it's entirety than a mix of other stuff. To each their own though!

That's what I do, just with the albums on the USB. I have all my albums for Zepplin, Toll, Capton and so on. You don't have to mix them tossed salad style. You can listen to a whole album, skip a song or skip an album, select an album, whatever. I have a ridiculous amount of CDs. I'm really glad I took the time to rip them into a manageable format. And these little USBs hold massive amount of data. Anyhow, try it with a couple CDs, you might change your mind. IT's cheap and easy! :chevy:

5 Attachment(s)
X2 on the USB idea! They make driving a lot more enjoyable on long trips. I have over 600 songs on one card alone. I use it all the time. I have one in each vehicle.

You can buy a remote CD player that is hidden. My old one has a remote cable to turn it on and play the CD's.
