15x8 Wheel options 71’ K10 Backspacing

Hi All,

I’m looking at some new steel wheels for my 71’ K10 4x4 and was wondering what backspacing I should go for. I’ll be fitting a 33’ tire, specifically a 33x12.5 and hope to find hub caps. What backspacing is recommended? - I’ve heard mixed things.

Here are the wheels I’m looking at:

Thank you!

I just saw black steelies on a suburban without the hub caps and it actually looked great. What backspacing works best for a 71 K10 4x4?

3 and 3/4” is the most common. You seen 3.5” sometimes and I think my Centerlines were 3 5/16” ?

Personally, I prefer at least a 9” rim for a 12.5” wide tire and I prefer my backspacing to better maintain factory steering geometries. I still run 15’s on several Jeeps, but prefer 17’s on a full size GM. 17x9 with 4.5” backspace and 33 12.5 would be a great combo IMO.

Thanks Mike! Do you have any pictures of a 17" rim with the backspacing and tire set up you mentioned?
