You certainly managed to find a good clean car for your project. The steel in the floors looks like the day it was built. Must have never been driven in winter. Do they salt the roads there in winter ?

No salt on our roads where I live. :D It was owned by an "old lady" according the the guy I bought it from. He kept it pretty much garaged and minty. Then I came along :mm:

soooo what will this chamber do?... it it for resonance? to kill some of the honda big exhaust raspiness?

also if it's pre muffler..

man.. you gotta explain this to all of us!

i'm glad you posted an update! looks good FF. what's the "macebell"? is that the dumbbell by the garage door? what's that for? i'm always intrigued by the tools you use :D.

sure beats me bumping the thread talking about sand blasting and powder coating. :metal:

Me too. I think I'm gonna have to do something to deaden the chamber. Sounds like a GONG righ now when struck :eek:

Woah that looks like an intense workout. I think you could do that with a sledge hammer.

i think the most simple way to deaden the chaimber is to drill a few holes through and through at irregulair intervals and weld some rods in to connect the top and bottom

looking good! you're almost to the point of *GASP* wiring! lol you're looking for a smaller battery? you ever see the braille ones? i think they have a CF one, but even the standard ones are supposed to be pretty light.

The exaust looks better than factory. Nice work as always. BTW, I don't envy your work schedule, had my share of that along time ago. I hope they compensate you well brother.

Same here.

I feel your pain. I had to work 12's seven days a week for six months straight. It wears you down pretty quickly, especially if you have any kind of commute. What sucked the most was that I was on salary and didn't take home any more money for it. :waah:

That is a quick way to burn out your people. I hope you can get back to a normal work week soon.

look for those lithium batteries they pack the same power as the stock battery but are a thirth the size

Wiring is a down-hill slide for me. I was an F-16 avionics tech and now a field service engineer ;) I actually enjoy wiring :D

Thanks man. It's a free market and therefore my choice to work this job. So no complaints! Just finished a project early so I'm done! Should have a few "normal" weeks before then next one.

i'm starting to get a handle on wiring. i'm trying to be more proficient with it starting with my corolla.

the drawings with the wiring looks imposing but if you split them up in indicators lichts horn startermotor ignition and interiour lichting it gets a lot simpler , just do one thing at a time powersource to user and before you know it the car is wired up
one thing to consider is using a light powersource when powering up the first time , 12v high amp carbattery tends to melt wires when theres a short , sumtin like a small 6 volt battery and a smal 6 volt light in series (when theres 100% power flowing through the system the lightbulb will burn bright its normal some parts use a little power like the clock and the radio ) like ones you find in big handlights gives you a chance to measure and find the fault before smoke apears

i got a powerprobe to do my tracing. built in voltmeter, continuity test, and i can throw +/- 12V from it. :metal:
