nice project... interested to see if you have issues with the LS and the front axle. Are you doing any lift? If not then you might need a custom crossmember under the engine...

DIY4x.com has some neat offroad parts, as well as Offroad design... I have a 68 k-10 shortbed but opted to keep the original engine and tranny since it's a 327...

Thanks msgross Funny you mention lift. The 4"TC all spring lift came in Friday. I also had ordered rear shackles and front hangers from diy4x.

Basketball has ended for my son so now I have him back to work on the truck. Here he is painting the pan. Well at least on the passenger side. I am thinking about putting a cam in this motor so I decided not to assemble the front assessory drive. Anyone tell me why I can only attach 1 photo per post?

Re: Project 68 k10 LWB..aka "The Hulk"

Are you using an Ipad or phone to post the pics? I found that it only allowed 1 pic while doing that.

I recommend a photobucket account, then you can upload all of your pics and then just post the IMG link to those pics. Much faster and you have your pics online forever in a central location. Just don't move them around and rename folders because it will screw up your original link.

Re: Project 68 k10 LWB..aka "The Hulk"

I used to have a photobucket account. Probably still do I will need to look into it. And yes I am using iPhone and iPad to post because my phone and pad are clouded so I don't have to transfer photos.

Yeah I use photo bucket on my android. So much easier. Even easier of you turn on auto backup and then you don't have to manually move them.

Very nice project, was there anything special you had to specify to Tuff Country for the lift springs? Would like to lift my '67 in the future.

Thanks

No problem Adam.

So I was searching Craigslist a few weeks ago and found a guy that had a set of aluminum 15x10 wheels. They looked like the original alcoa forged wheels. I called and met up with him and yep they were the original Alcoa wheel but the guy had eagle center caps. I picked them up for $250. Here is a picture of a couple of them:metal:

Well...I received some new part yesterday but the valve springs are back ordered from summit for a week. Kind of excited to actually put a cam in an ls engine. It's a Comp cams xr259hr. Picture is upside down but you get the idea.

Started on the wiring. This is after 1 hr of trying to de-pin and not tear up the harness. The last one I did I completly removed the loom and then tried to re loom after I completed the wiring. So this time I desided to try and not tear up the loom since the ECM will be in the stock location.
Funny how all this work and I haven't touch the truck yet.
