Vacuum gauge options for a 66?
Ive been looking at different threads like the one below and seen that some of the oldsmobile vacuum gauges can be modified but I have no idea which gauges might be worth looking at that will be compatible.

Early 60's Pontiac, Chev, and Olds console tachs are a nice fit. They are often on ebay, but nice condition ones are starting to get a little pricey, but not too bad. Here's one - it's been a little while since I did it, but pretty sure this is what I did my vac gauge conversion with. https://www.ebay.com/itm/60s-Pontiac...wAAOSw3dVfHt~p

Thanks Jocko! Ill do some snooping on ebay for 60 to 67ish I guess year range for all 3. Ive seen some that are for Air vs Vacuum too. I need to learn more on what the air gauge was for.

Looks great! So is $100 about what to expect on a pontiac vacuum gauge?
Interesting tach with the stem, so you set your red line with it I guess? |
Re: Vacuum gauge options for a 66?
Cost of the early 60s GM vac gauges is primarily driven by the condition of the chrome cup housing, so if you can find one that works, but with a crappy housing (which you won't need) you can get a good deal. Doesn't matter if Pontiac, Chev, Olds etc, all have the same guts, just a different types of detached face plates with a mfgr name on it.
