1968 C30 dually with Longhorn bed (thanks UNCLE)
So what do you all think..........should I go with a clean bed to match the cab or should I put the trim on the cab to match the bed. I have the trim so it could go either way.

So you'd use 69-72 side trim with a 68 front end? I'm planning on doing the same on the Tahoe so you know my vote...

I vote for no trim. I like the way the front clip looks w/o trim.

Thanks for posting the pics 72freak with a bed on a dually. That just answered a question I had. I figured the dual wheels would stick out further than that but I was wrong. If that's as far out as the dual wheels go then there is no point in fabbing up flares to put on the bed. BTW, I say no trim.

It will depend on the rear axleyou have.........mine is narrow so they dont stick out but about 2" at most.......I am probably going to leave it alone or I might use some Bushwacker fender flares (I have them). There are other rear axles that will be wider......It will depend on what you have.

I guess I just need to mount the bed to see where everything is going to sit. Thanks.

I actually had to put a wider rearend under my truck to use the dually flares. My rearend is from a '97 C3500. I personally wanted the wide dually pickup rearend, but the flareless dually's look great too.

72Freak, when we both get them done, we should get together and get some pics of them side by side. Mine is getting a 6.5TD in front of the SM420, but I'm driving now with the factory 292. I have family in Marietta and you are only a little over 100 miles away from me. I can see the Chattahoochee from my front porch, and I am only 12 miles SW of Lagrange.

Great! Looks like you are beat me!:( I did get both of my fenders mounted toady, and gonna try to start on the rest of the bodywork in a week or two.

I found this Lornhorn Dually on ebaymotors today. It has the newer flares that you can buy from Godfathers. I personally don't like the wheelwells being different, but I figured I'd post it for you anyway since it is a Longhorn dually.
