86 k10 motor mounts with tranny braces

I pulled my motor out a few weeks back and attempted to install to night but with much difficulty. here is what I have 86 k10 with 350. The motor did not have the tranny braces when removed and I had a set off my parts truck. When installing the motor it just will not fit. ?????? Is there a different in the motor mounts that attach to the block???? I used the original one that was on my truck. Can anyone tell me if there is a difference ?

What part will not fit?. Did you install the plates under the clams? Were they there before?

If you used the old engine mounts, they are more than likely sagged down. Another thing when you installed the rod plates you moved the cups out 3/16s of an inch each side. You could loosen the mounts on each side and get a big screw driver to get the engine past the notches so they will set down. If the mounts are questionable I would replace and leave then loose until the engine is sitting down
