Has anyone bought a set from Class-Tech-Cars ? Looks nice

I'd assume they are made by Larry Nease AKA Truck World. Which means i would worry about how long it would take to get them. I ordered a set (sold through brothers) in february and received them last week.

Good luck.

That's a long time to wait. Did they at least communicate with you?

Yes but it was a lot of "oh two more weeks!" luckily i didnt need them right away but yes - long time to wait. Excellent quality though.

PUI - I have some PUI items...some i'm happier with than others.

I had the same experience. I bought Highlander seat covers at the same time with back panels. It took 10 months to get them but they are top notch. I think he is just super picky and just doesn’t say it up front. If he would just say it takes that long I think people wouldn’t get upset when it takes a while.

Been waiting for close to a year. I’ve reached out to other vendors on the board but, silence. Glad someone else jumped in the game. I like to give my money to people who actually work for it. They will make a bunch of money I’m sure. Ordering mine today. Does anyone know if PUI is making Highlander covers or any other supplier besides truck seats/truckworld?

HeloCrew: I am not sure if it helped but i was texting Larry weekly about my panels. Squeeky wheel perhaps?

Happy to share his number...

I text him a lot as well but was later in the waiting period. I will say the covers are really nice. Worth every penny.

Does anyone make the chrome trim strips for the tops of these panels? The set I have is not as nice as I would like.

No one does, super hard to find. Would be nice if some of these companies would reproduce some of this hard to find stuff. Glad another company is making these side panels and not just one guy anymore.

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who buys a set. The eBay listing says they come with 32 self tapping screws which is really cool for those of us without the factory perches. Do they have predrilled holes around the edge? I'd really like to see them installed.

I ordered up my pair in “off white”. Will let you know if I get them in by the promised date.

You would still need the perches and the front and rear angles, along with the top chrome strips to mount the panels. The standoffs (perches as you are calling them) and the angles are screwed on with the short self-tapping screws. The panels are fastened to them with chrome oval head screws with trim washers which are not shown

Can anyone post pics and measurements of the mounting brackets for these panels? I have the standoff and chrome strips but none of the angle pieces.

Re: 1969-1972 blazer rear side panels on ebay

Guess I'm back to making my own since mine didn't come with the standoffs.

Check the inner bed panels for sets of little dimples in the metal where the stand offs should be screwed to the bed. Maybe I am remembering wrong, but I seem to think they were there when I put them on my 71 (which I no longer have). I can't look on my 69 because it still is in paint jail. You can make your own angle brackets out of 3/4" by 3/4" or 1' by 1" thin steel or aluminum angle. Seems to me there were a couple vertical pieces front and rear (maybe the front just screwed to the vertical post and two pieces on the floor front and rear - but again it has been several years since I did the 71. I posted a couple of photos from when I did my 71 - you can see where the trim screws are screwed into the stand offs on the inner bed and angles including the floor mounted angles.

Bought them not knowing my Blazer was a CST and already equipped with them, only found out after stripping it down and taking off some home made panels from a previous owner

I will take them pending price as I can wait. PM me with particulars, and let me know when you are back. Thanks, Rick

Rick, someone beat you to it on my messages. I'll look around when I'm home, I might actually have enough to make 2 sets. If that's the case the other is yours

To all of you who are waiting for or wanting to get rear side panels. I waited six months and kept talking to Larry about when they were coming and he was concerned about the color to match my off white for my Highlander plaid seats. I finally told him to send them and he did in black. I painted them myself. Turned out very good. Also if someone needs the chrome trim for top anfloor carpet the utahboy has had some made in Michigan. I got them and they are perfect. Glove

Utahboy makes the chrome panel retainer strips?? I knew about the carpet strips....

EDIT: I think you're talking about the single wall top hold down strips. But still awesome he makes them!
