Camaro Caliper Brackets

4 Attachment(s)
I've contacted glock35ipsc and Bob says he doesn't plan to make more of these at this time. So I've done my CAD work and made a couple slight changes as you can see in the pics. They still function the same, I just didn't want to copy Bob's nice design exactly. The brackets are laser cut from 1/4" steel with the 1/4" spacers stitch welded onto the base bracket. These brackets fit the '64-'82 Truck 12 bolt and the '79-'87 truck 8.5" 10 bolt differentials.

The price on these with the hardware, is $137.50 plus $16.25 shipping via USPS Priority Mail which is 2 to 3 days delivery.. For payment I accept PayPal and money orders. If you would like a set, post in this thread, send me a PM or send an email to captainfab454@hotmail.com, and I will give you the ordering and payment instructions and current lead time.

Updated pricing to include hardware and increased shipping cost is $137.55
The Satin Black powder coating is an additional $28.00
This pricing is always current and up to date.

BTW that stack of washers on the caliper bolts is because I didn't have the right length 12mm bolts and I was in a hurry to take a pic. :o

Re: Camaro Caliper Brackets

Do you make anything like this to install rear disc on a 67-69 camaro? Or would this bracket work on that rear too? Thanks:metal:

Re: Camaro Caliper Brackets

This set of brackets will only work with the truck 10 and 12 bolt differentials. The main difference is the bolt pattern on the axle tube flange. Also the Impala rotor is about .100" larger in diameter than the Camaro rotor. I replied to your post in my other thread.

Re: Camaro Caliper Brackets

Yes I will. The total to you will be $127.00 USD shipped USPS as I normally do. That should be less $$ at the border for you than UPS or FedEx.

Anyone figured up how much a complete kit would cost?

Re: Camaro Caliper Brackets

These brackets utilize the '94-'96 Impala/Caprice rotors and the '93-'97 F-body calipers which have a built in e-brake.

The total cost will partly depend on if you can source your caliper cores for less than the core charge when purchasing rebuilt calipers. Tha calipers are your biggest single expense with this conversion. The best price I have found is from CSK/Oreilly's for the loaded calipers they are $127.00 pus a core charge of $31.50

Re: Camaro Caliper Brackets

Just a question on these. Will it fit inside a 15in wheel with no problems?

Captainfab 02-03-2010 12:37 AM

Re: Camaro Caliper Brackets

I don't know for certain, but I would think 15's would fit. The rotors are less than 12 inch. If someone that has installed a set doesn't chime in here, I'll bolt up a wheel on my mockup. Which wheels do you have, stock or aftermarket?

I have a set of truck rallys on one and a set of corvette rallys on another.

Re: Camaro Caliper Brackets

Is it about the same price to do this disc conversion as replace everything on a drum system?

Captainfab 02-03-2010 11:35 PM

Re: Camaro Caliper Brackets

I don't know just what the average total cost is for this rear disc brake conversion, but I'm sure it is more money than replacing everything in the rear drum brake system.

Re: Camaro Caliper Brackets

OK I test fit a 15 x 8, 5x5 pickup rally and it clears the Camaro caliper by a good 1/4". I really don't see any problems with 15" wheels on this rear disc conversion as long as the wheels are compatable with OEM disc brake applications.

At $73.00 a drum (granted its for 4x4) It shouldn't cost much more.
