what am i looking for when i get a electric fuel pump
It will be sending fuel to a 600 cfm holley carb. what am i looking for? what do i need to steer clear of? suggested brands? regulator size? max/min psi? any other goodies ill need?

My first suggestion is "don't" for a street engine. :)

Ah, I'm with you.
The biggest decision is if you're going to "deadhead" the pump (no return) or add a return as there isn't one on our trucks. If deadheading, you need to pick a pump that's made for that. The second issue is wiring - it's important to have an oil pressure switch. It'll take a while to get the details worked out, but it's not that big of a deal. It isn't cheap, unfortunately :( |

the p.o. moved the tank to under the bed, mabee the tank thats under there has a return line already. ill have to check that out.

I run carter street pumps that put out 5-9psi I believe. I ran a holley deadhead regulator for a couple years then converted it to return style and fabbed up a return line. Helps keep the pump cooler which I needed in 110* phoenix summers. I set the pressure at about 5.5-6psi for the edelbrocks and 7-9psi for holleys.
