Bought a 67 c30 tow truck. 283 4 speed ran good, planned on making it a flatbed and just drive it and play. Removed tow body found repaired cracked frame. That wasn't too bad but then motor started to smoke. Friend had a 87 GM 1 ton dually 4x4 utility body bought that scrapped body. Had frame sand blasted and painted Other friend had a built 454 so here we go. I know crane is over kill but anything that gets lifted around here the crew uses the deuce crane period.

Looks good- will be following along. Going with a GMC nose?

Yes it needed whole nose. Someone stuffed rags in the voids of original fenders and rotted from inside out. Rad support was shot probably could have used hood but that to was split in front. Like the GMC look a little better
