Ls manifolds/ headers

1 Attachment(s)
I have a 72 c10 frame with 6.0 /4l80e combo sitting in it. I used ingenuity fab and speed 67-72 mount and crossmember kit. Does anyone know what manifolds or headers will clear and not interefere with dipstick tube or spark plug wires?
Thanks

Trailblazer SS Should fit they also made a TB without the SS that had a 5.3 that carries same manifolds. They are still available new. Jim

2010 Camaro manifolds with heat shields removed and smoothed up
will be sending them to be jet coated soon
plenty of clearance and years of leak-free, trouble-free operation on 2001 5.7 LS1
Transmission and oil level dipstick fit perfectly
Attachment 2060179

Speed Engineering long tubes is what I am running with the same set up. I'm sitting on POL engine stands, but you won't have issues. You will have to trim the ears on your transmission bell housing. You can look in my build thread to see them.

I used the Hooker Cast Iron headers/manifolds in the pictures below on my '67 Panel Truck with an LS1. Cleared everything with no problem. I bought them off of E-bay.

It looks like these might be about the same and on sale..

You have to watch that price. That is per manifold. I don't think I have ever seen anyone sell them one at a time....... Any way it automatically added 2 to my cart. Dunno.

I used the S/S headers for a late model Camaro.
Here is a link with them and some others.

Not the greatest pictures, but all I have on my work PC. If you need to see anything else let me know. I'll look for a shot of the trans where the header goes by.

Is this the ones you have? What exactly are you talking about cutting off transmission? Thanks

I used 2010 Camaro manifolds and they fit great. Used with an F body oil pan and dipstick

Larry, here is what I have.

https://www.speed-engineering.com/ls...2-ls3-ls6.html

The ear on the passenger side of the 4L80e has to be trimmed down to clear the long tube header. If you go with the shorty header in your link then you don't need to modify the transmission.

I used Speed Engineering's shorty headers with my 6.0/4L80 combination and had to trim the ears on the trans.

Man your build looks awesome! Question, if I cut ear off bellhousing, does that mean I can't put dust cover over torque converter? Thanks.

Yes, those are the ones. They also come in ceramic coated as well. We're doing two more swaps this winter and will be using these again.

Has anyone 1947-1953 chevy truck used the Summit cast iron manifold with 5.3 and had any luck with clearance issues ?
