How to mount kick panels
I got Vintage Car Radio kick panels with speaker mounts in them and I'm not sure how to mount them. They're plastic, so I'm thinking you just put them over the existing kick panels. I just don't know how to mount them right and keep them secure.
Any thoughts? |

Re: How to mount kick panels
I was thinking about this but I didn't know if it would hold enough to keep it from rattling. What should I secure it with? Gorilla glue or something? I doubt the adhesive that comes on it will hold it well enough.

This what I did, I chose to put a small self tapping screw in the panel closest to the firewall and the leading edge of the panel is held by the door weather strip.

The adhesive on industrial Velcro from Home depot is good stuff. It should hold those no problem.

Who sells these, and will the parking brake pedal clear?

Re: How to mount kick panels
Got mine from Classic Parts, the pedal on mine didn't clear it would scuff the front, so I removed the pedal assembly and bent it over just enough so that it and my foot would not hit the the mesh cover.

Re: How to mount kick panels
3M super 77 spray adhesive will stick to you and anything else you spray it on. Leave extra fabric to wrap the edges, cut pie cuts in the curves. Avoid too much thickness in the corners.
