Thanks for sharing. I know I have the black one. Not sure if I got this one already or not. You have one, right?

Re: Napa, Gold 68 C10 on Ebay

I put the second bid in at a $32 max, which was probably too much when adding shipping. I had my regrets after. I don't see it with my black one, but pretty sure I already got one anyway. So I was happy to see I prompted the first bidder to up his max to beat me by a dollar. I have my eye on something more my speed, then there are always the home improvement items and truck parts I actually need that my money should go to.

Too bad as it would have been nice for your collection. When I want something and get someone bidding me up throughout the auction I wait till the end and then go Kamakazi and if the other bidder wants it that bad they are to be paying a good price for it.

I just put in the most I'll pay and sit back to see. If they want it that bad they will keep upping bid till it beats me, if there is time left. I am almost certain I have that yellow truck. I took my display down to do some remodeling. Can't be sure.

I just won this early Ertl 1/25th GMC pickup. It's all there and I plan to disassemble to restore. I may only paint around the woodgrain for a less than perfect yet good paint resto or go w/o the woodgrain, as some were also made.

I want to try to touch the paint up for a semi-restoration. The woodgrain has the one scratch, but is basically presentable for a shelf. I think I'll just mask and paint above that.

Good news is I do already have the gold NAPA trucks. So my life is complete!

They're hard to find. These are from back when the trucks were new, only would see Ertl stuff at tractor dealers. They are 1/25 scale die cast GMCs. The interior, grille, and tailgate are plastic. Two headlights are rivets holding the grille on. The tailgate is always white and usually missing. Somebody had a Medium Olive one and a Medium Blue one on Ebay now in worse shape w/o the tailgate asking $40@. I got this one for $20. There's a plain white one, which is rare to see, and in great shape. It's $100! The thing is, I can tell it's repainted. They did a great job, but the hood and fender emblems (decals) you can see were masked off and truck painted. If it was in that condition and truly original I'd say it's worth it. These are truly vintage and made in the USA, 45-50 years ago. These were toys, not adult collectibles. So survival rate is low. I never paid all that for one, but I now have five. I'd have six if that white one wasn't a repaint.

Is your numbered? I got one from a car show blind auction. This one has #13415 stamped on the box and painted on the bottom of the truck.

Thank you, I was wondering if these were sequentiality numbered, can't find any info on their web site about these anniversary trucks. They are really nice and have a lot of detail to them.

It turns out I do have this yellow truck. It's sitting under the black one with another in front of it! No respect. It's being used to prop the other one up

It was the first one I saw. I was at a NAPA with a friend in his town. Here's an old picture with both (cartons)
