those are interesting aswell, this ones for sale for 5000 cdn supposedly all it needs is a distributor cap and the brakes bled to drive home.

Well, it's not a trailer, it's a van. But that style was common and I swear I never saw them on anything but a GM Truck. Put all that effort into building a motor coach style horse van and it makes sense to use the best looking trucks. I know where one is on the next body style. I was looking to get into horse transport around 1980 and I looked at a lot of those trucks. That think is saweet!

That would be one classy set up. It's hard to believe someone wouldn't put a distributor cap on and bleed the brakes... or even pay what little that would cost... to be selling an operable vehicle. I would hammer on the fact that you have no way of knowing anything about the mechanics and reflect that in your offer. Makes me wonder if it's really that simple.

I think it would be really cool, especially set up with living quarters up front.

Should be body builder's plate on it somewhere, I wonder who built them.

i have to look into insurance and licensing its classified as a transport truck so id have to get that class on my license my girlfriend has her truck license from years ago although she never really drove just worked at a factory and had to get it to move trucks in the yard, we would be the only ones with somethint like this as event she doesnt do rodeo lol dressage so we would be the talk there among the elite horse folk lol

I hear you. "Eventing" ain't no rodeo!

I have always related these stainless coach-built horse vans with thoroughbred racing. The one I see sitting is in an area near a track. I used to see those when I was involved with horses. The farm I was associated with (late-70s) had a bare bones ext cab F350 that pulled a 5th wheel trailer I sandblasted, patched rust, and painted farm colors. Nothing fancy for sure. The owner also did steeplechase and was in the fox hunting scene. I never saw thse vans at any of those events.
